Zimu new special adviser on energy in Presidency

The Presidency announced yesterday that Silas Mzingeli Zimu has been appointed as special adviser on energy to President Jacob Zuma.

“An electrical engineer, Mr Zimu joins the Presidency from the private sector and brings extensive experience in both business and strategic management in energy. He has previously served at, among other institutio­ns, Eskom as an engineer,” said the Presidency.

“We welcome Mr Zimu and we are certain that his considerab­le experience and expertise will greatly contribute to the work being done to resolve the energy challenge,” said the director-general in the Presidency, Dr Cassius Lubisi.
