Utter nonsense on climate change

-

MIKE BROWN (“No ‘Planet B’ in dealing with climate change”; Business Report, June 11) talks complete nonsense about the science of climate change. Unfortunately such nonsense is widely believed by the non-scientific community.

There is not a shred of evidence to show that rising CO2 (carbon dioxide) is changing the climate in a dangerous way. Basic physics shows that CO2, a weak greenhouse gas, can never have a major effect on global temperatures. It never has – even when it was above 4 000 ppm (parts per million) in the past. It is 400 ppm now. The slight warming of the 20th century was no difference from the Worldwide Mediaeval Warming Period a thousand years ago or the Roman Warming before that.

The IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) is a disgrace. It is a politically funded propaganda machine posing as a scientific body. It has been wrong over and over again. It corrupts science for political ends. It tries to threaten and silence any scientists giving evidence that the climate scare is nonsense. The climate scare is a gigantic scam.
