Sheikh Alexander, Cape Town deputy mayor Ian Neilson, Sheikh Badroodien, Qari Mahmood, from Egypt, and Guru Krishna, of the Hindu Temple in Rylands, enjoy a meal during yesterday’s interfaith breaking of the fast at the Gatesville Mosque in Athlone. A similar event was held at the Open Mosque in Wynberg. The interfaith breaking of the fast was to symbolise the common good among people of different faiths.
