15 die in hotel car bombing
At least 15 people were killed yesterday after a hotel blast in the Somali capital Mogadishu, police and witnesses said.
Police officer Abdulle Mohamed said a suicide bomber detonated his car bomb at the gate of Jazera hotel, which is located near the international airport in Mogadishu.
“The bomber rammed his car into the gate of the hotel,” he said, adding that the death toll could rise “because the blast was huge”. No group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
