3 escape from KZN police station

Police in KwaZulu-Natal are searching for three criminals who escaped fromholding cells at Bellair station yesterday.

“Police officers did their routine check at the cells when they discovered that Vusi Gumede, Bheki Nkosi and Siya Dlamini had escaped. The detainees allegedly dug a hole in the wall of the cell,” said police spokesperson Jay Naicker.

The escapees were arrested for murder, possession of stolen property and possession of firearms respectively. Officers are urging for nearby communities not to apprehend them as they are considered dangerous, but to inform their nearest police stations.
