SOMETIMEago, I wrote a letter urging the unemployed receiving grants to pedal and generate electricity as a quid pro quo. Erik Barnard thought that donkeys would be better, but then they need maintenance.

On July 23, the Cape Times featured a front-page article on the world’s best green hotel; The Hotel Verde – “verde” meaning green, a wonderful place where I held a conference with some others in the health-care business.
