SUNFLOWER seed for December delivery advanced 0.5 percent yesterday, the most since July 30, to R5 590 a ton, on the SA Futures Exchange.

Soya bean for delivery next month fell 0.1 percent to R5 070 a ton, dropping for the first time in three days.

White maize for delivery in December gained 0.6 percent to R3 235 a ton. Yellow maize for delivery in the same month rose 0.6 percent to R2 745 a ton.

White maize has gained 51 percent this year, while the yellow variety is up 27 percent.

Wheat for delivery next month climbed 0.1 percent to R4 045 a ton. – Bloomberg
