12 people injured in taxi pile-up
Twelve people were injured yesterday morning when three taxis rear-ended each other in the Northern Cape, said paramedics.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said the accident took place on the R31 near Kuruman. He said the occupants from the vehicles were found sitting on the grass embankment.
“On further assessment, paramedics found that 12 people had sustained only minor injuries in the collision.” No fatalities were reported on the scene, Meiring said. The patients were treated for their injuries and transported to Kuruman Hospital for further treatment.
