Agricultural futures

WHEAT for December delivery gained 0.4 percent to $4.74 a bushel (R2 379 a ton) on the Chicago Board of Trade yesterday afternoon.

Prices have fallen 20 percent this year, and touched a fourmonth low last week, amid ample global supplies.

Maize for December deliv- ery rose 0.2 percent to $3.69 a bushel, heading for fourth consecutive increase in longest run of gains since July 13.

Soya beans for November delivery increased 0.3 percent to $8.75 a bushel
