Terror suspect evades capture

A terror suspect has evaded capture in the Kenyan coastal city of Mombasa. Mombasa County CID commander Henry Ondiek said more than 30 heavily armed officers from the anti-terrorism police unit and serious crime unit had raided the suspect’s house in the early hours of yesterday morning, but missed him.

“The manhunt will continue,” Ondiek said. The suspect is believed to be planning attacks on unspecified locations in tourism resorts in the region.
