Cops arrest three in Bishop Lavis

-

A tip off led to the arrest of three armed men allegedly plotting a robbery at a grocery store in Bishop Lavis.

Police spokesperson Andre Traut said officers attached to the Western Cape Trio Crimes Unit conducted an operation in the vicinity of a grocery store in Bishop Lavis where three armed suspects were spotted.

He said the men were found in possession of three illegal firearms and a vehicle reportedly stolen in Wellington earlier this month.

“We have reason to believe that the suspects aged 27, 36 and 45 were about to perpetrate an armed robbery at the grocery store.”
