Carrying on sewing

I refer to my letter in the Cape Times some while ago (I was “sew” impressed), and would like to express my sincere thanks to Rosemary Robins, Sue-Ann Cerf, Gavin-ALS Clothing, Margie Codd, Geoff Sturges and Liesa Schwarzenbek for their very kind donations of sewing machines and fabric for the sewing group at St Thomas’ Church.

I have been overwhelmed at the response I received and I am once again in awe at the kind-hearted souls of not only Cape Town, but as far afield as L’Agulhas and Great Brak River.

The sewing group gets back into action in February and I can only imagine the faces of the ladies when they see the donations.

On a sadder note, our Abigail’s youngest son passed away very suddenly two weeks ago, and I am sure your condolences go out to her at her loss.
