Coach Johnny wants his beasts to find the balance

- Liam Moses

FC CAPE TOWN will hope to strike a balance between attack and defence when they face Cape Town All Stars tomorrow.

The African Beasts have lost three games in a row and conceded 11 goals, despite managing to score four of their own.

“We’ll respect them because a derby is always a derby. Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria, it matters not. Any team that is in your area, it’s always going to be a derby and we will treat it as one. We will show them respect if they command it,” FC Cape Town head coach Johnny Ferreira said.

“We have to pick ourselves up. We’ve conceded 11 goals in three matches, so our goals against column is not satisfactory, but going forward we look half-decent.

“We just have to get the balance between attack and defence right. Once we have done that we will be a force to be reckoned with.”

Meanwhile, FCCT’s opponents for Saturday could be showing early signs of a revival. All Stars are still second-last on the league table, but have not lost in five games; drawing four and winning one.
