Up grants amount

IT IS good to hear that at last Cosatu is wanting to march for a good cause. Cosatu is part of an alliance with the government and one would expect the alliance partners to at least bring the recalcitrant partner in line.

We know and understand Cosatu has supported a minimum wage of R20 an hour with a minimum of R3 500 a month.

Isn’t it about time that Cosatu stood up to the government to state that the social security grants are less than half of that amount and should be reassessed immediately.
