SOYA BEANS for delivery in May gained 0.6 percent at $9.45 a bushel (R4 815 a ton) on the Chicago Board of Trade yesterday afternoon, rebounding from one-year lows.
Futures on Tuesday touched the lowest for most-active contract since April 11, last year, as USDA improved South American crop outlook.
“We still have weather issues to deal with in Argentina,” Matt Ammermann, commodity risk manager at FCStone, said.
Most of Argentina’s farms would see abundant rain this month, Buenos Aires Grain Exchange said. – Bloomberg
