Boko Haram bombed
LAGOS: The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) on Wednesday said it had destroyed logistics bases used by Boko Haram militants in their Sambisa forest hideouts, in the north-eastern part of the country.
NAF spokesperson Olatokunbo Adesanya said a gathering of Boko Haram fighters was spotted during a reconnaissance mission over Parisu in the Sambisa general area.
A large group of insurgents were seen converging under a tree close to a partly concealed zinc-roofed structure. Airstrikes destroyed the building while an aircraft strafed fleeing insurgents.
