Rich in party colours

- Mpiletso Motumi

ANC regalia is big business. Merchandisers can go home with hundreds of thousands of rand from sales. Everything from formal wear to traditional pieces can be found.

For many card-carrying members, sporting the ANC colours and accessorising them well is an essential part of the conference.

But no one takes it quite as serious as Minister of Small Business Development Lindiwe Zulu. When they say she is ANC from head to toe, it is no lie. Throughout the conference Zulu kept up appearances with her outfits. On Monday, for her Progressive Business Forum breakfast, she wore a long-sleeved, free-flowing yellow dress with animal print and shades of green and black.

Yesterday, she chose a form-fitting black dress with a green frill down the middle, but she didn’t stop there. Her strappy heels, watch and bag were yellow, black and green.

The options were plenty, from patterns to colours, jumpsuits to caps and shoes to scarves. Anything and every type of item you needed, you could find at the conference.
