Expects spike in headline earnings

ADCOCK Ingram expects its headline earnings per share (heps) from continuing operations to increase up to 26.3 percent for the year to end June. The pharmaceut­ical company on Tuesday said it expected to report heps of between 380 cents a share and 390c, up from 308.9c compared with last year. Its earnings per share (eps) from continuing operations was also expected to increase by between 23 percent and 24.6 percent to between 380c and 385c, compared with 308.9c reported a year ago. Adcock Ingram is finalising its results, which are expected to be released on August 29.
