How to dress like Meghan on a budget
The Duchess of Sussex embraces elegant and casual style, writes Gerry Cupido
WHEN Meghan Markle said “I do” to Prince Harry, she went from Hollywood star to royal Duchess. Since then, followers of the Duchess of Sussex have kept an eye on the former actress’s every move and outfit.
With every public appearance her outfits are scrutinised from head to toe. Her outfit choices have received mixed responses.
Some love her Hollywood-meets-royalty style while others have criticised her decadently priced outfits.
Not all of us have the budget for high-end designer garments yet still aspire to get her look.
Here’s a breakdown of our favourite Meghan looks on a budget.
During one of her first appearances she attended the Commonwealth Youth Challenge reception at Marlborough House in London wearing a bright yellow dress. Sadly we haven’t seen the duchess in such a bright and cheerful dress since then.

Black might have been the most cheerful colour to wear to the wedding of Daisy Jenks and Charlie Van Straubenzee wedding, but we can’t help but love the way she wore a very trendy pleated skirt. The knotted leather belt gave the almost conservative look a modern edge.

When she accompanied husband Prince Harry to the Sentebale ISPS Handa Polo Cup she wore a denim 1950s inspired dress. This look was informal yet elegant.

Much to the Queen’s dislike, Meghan loves suits. Especially pants suits. When she attended the annual Well Child awards at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London, she wore a classic black blazer with slightly flared pants. She wore a silky black camisole to add a casual feel to the look.

When Serena Williams stepped on the court to play this year’s Wimbledon women’s final her friend Meghan was there to support her. We loved how she wore wide-legged flowing white pants with a blue-and-white-striped shirt. A classic summer look. The panama hat added to the laid-back style.
