Bonang aims to send 300 girls to varsity

EVER the philanthropist, Bonang Matheba has revealed that she hopes to send more girls to secondary and tertiary school through her bursary fund. Matheba posted a tweet with the caption: “My target to send 300 girls to university by 2021… crazy, but possible. And God willing”.

Matheba launched her Bonang Matheba Bursary Fund in 2016, when she had announced that she would be paying university fees for 10 girls. Matheba spoke about her intention on SABC3’s Real Talk with Azania a few months ago.

“I wanna create a sisterhood, a network, an alumni of girls who just assist each other and grow together, and want good for one another”.
