Mental evaluation for ‘killer’ mom

LAGOS: A Nigerian magistrate’s court has ordered a mother from Lagos to undergo psychiatric evaluation after she allegedly murdered her 21-month-old daughter.

According to reports, Olufunmilola Adisa will be evaluated at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital to determine her mental health.

Adisa, 22, was arrested on May 11 after she allegedly drowned her daughter in a bucket of water at her Gowon Estate home. She said she felt no regret for her actions as she was desperate, and that afterwards she handed herself over to police.
