Starmer tribute
LONDON: Sir Keir Starmer came out in solidarity with the #BlackLivesMatter movement as he tweeted a photo of himself on one knee on Tuesday night.
The Labour leader, pictured, was joined by his deputy Angela Rayner, who knelt beside him while 2m physical distancing in a meeting room in parliament.
On Twitter, Sir Keir wrote: “We kneel with all those opposing anti-Black racism. #BlackLivesMatter.’
Several Labour MPs also posted photos of themselves “taking the knee” in tribute to George Floyd whose funeral was held on Tuesday. | Daily Mail
