Pakistan blames India for attack

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan yesterday accused arch-rival India of being behind an attack on the country’s stock exchange. At least seven people, including four gunmen, were killed in the attack in the port city of Karachi on Monday.

Khan said India had intended for the assault to destabilise Pakistan. He said at least four terrorist attacks in the country had been foiled by Pakistani security agencies in the recent past.

“Our agencies were on high alert and we were fully prepared.”
