Overpaid public servants milking system

-

MY HEART bleeds for those overpaid public servants who are going to court in an attempt to force the government to increase their salaries.

I wonder if they have any idea of how good they have had things during the coronavirus lockdown?

Irrespective of what agreement they may have with the government in regard to salaries, perhaps they should come and live on our side of the fence for a change.

How many of us on the harsh side of the fence have been retrenched? How many of us did not receive any pay during the lockdown? How many of us, if lucky enough to still be employed, returned to work with a 25% cut in salary? Probably for all of us, there will be no bonus this year.

You mollycoddled group, how about trying to be content with a safe and well-paid job during these uncertain times, instead of trying to milk the system until it bleeds to death?

I challenge you to leave your fantasy world and come and work in the brutal world of real economics, i.e. no money, no work! KEVIN MEINEKE | Plettenberg Bay
