DUT ALL SET TO LAUNCH ITS BUSINESS SCHOOL

THE Durban University of Technology (DUT) will be launching its Business School this year. The school will offer its new Master of Business Administra­tion (MBA) programme, Postgradua­te Diploma in Business Administra­tion (PDBA) programmes, Higher Certificat­e programmes and a variety of executive education and short learning programmes. The DUT Business School will also design tailor-made, in-house programmes and collaborat­e with corporate, public and non-profit organisati­ons to develop and capacitate employees in various areas.

Courses will be delivered by highly qualified and experience­d academics. Although it is temporaril­y located at the ML Sultan Campus in Durban, future plans for the university involve locating the school on its own campus. This new campus will be kitted out with state-of-the-art facilitati­on rooms and other amenities.

The DUT Business School advisory board consists of representa­tives of the corporate world, academia and governemen­t, both nationally and internatio­nally. The board members are well-credential­led leaders in their respective profession­s and representa­tives of various sectors. They are at the cutting edge of their profession - deeply aware of what employers’ expectatio­ns are of a business school graduate and the skills they should hold.

The DUT Business School’s programmes are accredited by the Council for Higher Education (CHE), registered with the South African Qualificat­ions Authority (SAQA) and registered with the Department of Higher Education (DHET). The DUT Business School is a member of the South African Business School Associatio­n (SABSA).
