SUZUKI SWIFT 1,2 GL MT OUR VERDICT

Arguably less characterful than before, the new Swift nevertheless offers the same levels of build quality, value for money and relative driving thrills that made its predecessor so popular.

HYUNDAI GRAND i10 1,2 FLUID OUR VERDICT

Also sourced from India, the Hyundai can’t quite match the Suzuki in terms of value for money or performance. Relatively well specced and backed by Hyundai’s ever-growing reputation for reliability.

FORD FIGO 1,5 AMBIENTE MT OUR VERDICT

A compelling package comprising a facelift and Ford’s impressive 1,5-litre, three-cylinder motor. Ambiente spec lacks a few cosmetic enhancements, although superior service plan is a boon.
