1929 Bent­ley Blower In 1929, 50 su­per­charged 4,5-litre Bent­leys were com­mis­sioned with a charger de­vel­oped by in­de­pen­dent en­gi­neer Amherst Vil­liers.

1925 Bu­gatti Type 35C Per­haps the most fa­mous of all Bu­gat­tis fea­tur­ing a Roots su­per­charger, the Type 35C pro­duced 95 kw and won the 1926 French Grand Prix.

1928 MercedesBenz SSK The su­per­charged 7,1-litre Mercedes-benz SSK was built specif­i­cally for hill­climbs (it has a short­ened wheel­base for im­proved ma­noeu­vra­bil­ity).

2007 Toy­ota 2ZR-FE In a largely tur­bocharged mar­ket, the widely used Toy­otade­vel­oped 2ZR-FE is a re­spon­sive su­per­charged unit and is good for 186 kw in the Lo­tus Elise Cup 260.
