Thanks for the really enjoyable Performance Shootout 2020 issue that was delivered recently.
Although, how awkward for CAR that the supposed winner of the shootout had “n/a” in all the track results. I read the excuse you printed at the top of the page but how can Porsche possibly send a 911 to CAR’S annual Shootout without the appropriate insurance. I urge you, in future, to eliminate from contention any car that cannot participate fully in your testing. STEPHEN DAVIES Plumstead [Stephen, the CAR team and I certainly share your frustration. However, as Shootout is a competition to find the year’s best performance road car, we simply can’t eliminate those manufacturers whose insurance does not cover track use. Unfortunately, we also can’t afford the coverage ourselves,
