ARRIVEDERCI, AVENTADOR
Lamborghini says goodbye to the Aventador, celebrating its bonkers naturally aspirated V12 supercar with one final edition, the Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae
“The Aventador LP 780-4 denotes the final, purest naturally aspirated production V12 Lamborghini … it is the definitive Aventador concluding an extraordinary era.” – Stephan Winkelmann, president and CEO, Automobili Lamborghini
Marking the end of an era, Lamborghini’s newest Aventador, the LP 780-4 Ultimae, is also the last. “The LP 780-4 Ultimae celebrates the visceral character, power and performance of the Aventador’s 10-year evolution … and the purity of the original concept,” announced the Sant’agata Bolognese marque. “It is the grand finale of the traditional V12 combustion engine, and the ultimate Aventador in every sense.”
The LP 780-4 Ultimae sings its swansong with Lamborghini’s most powerful atmospheric V12 ever. Sourced from the Aventador SVJ and upgraded by 8 kw, the mid-mounted 6,5-litre produces 574 kw from 8 500 r/min. Torque output remains the same, 720 N.m sent to all four corners via a seven-speed automatic transmission. According to Lambo, it sprints to 100 km/h from standstill in 2,80 seconds, with the 200 km/h marker reached just 5,90 seconds later. Top speed is rated at 355 km/h. Fitted with 400 mm fore and 380 mm aft carbonceramic discs, Lamborghini maintains the LP 780-4 Ultimae decelerates from 100 km/h to standstill in a distance of just 30 m.
Featuring a rigid and lightweight carbon-fibre monocoque, the last-ever Aventador tips the scales at a claimed 1 550 kg. In addition to the fitment of various carbon-fibre parts, the limitededition Lamborghini features bespoke aerodynamics. Only 350 coupés and 250 roadsters of the LP 780-4 Ultimae will be built.
