A VISION IN PINK

LISA TOLKIN, SEPTEMBER 2014

Condé Nast House & Garden - - DESIGN NOTES -

The evergreen architectural structure of this garden’s hedged framework provides a perfect foil for the frothy spring display of the cherry trees. These are no ordinary hedges; they are layered and differentiated by leaf colour, texture, height and width, and provide both year-round interest and a threedimensionality to the garden spaces. The perfect proportions showcase the owner’s architectural training and the dramatic flowering of the cherries create a sensational, seasonal happening in an otherwise calm garden.
