From the exterior, Clare Wiese’s Clifton home is your typical beach bungalow. however, upon entering, you’re met with its serene style and sweeping views of the atlantic ocean. Paka Paka, her covetable jewellery line, which makes use of fine materials such as 18-carat gold, diamonds and coloured gemstones, is an ode to fine taste and the contemporary woman. similar to her approach to her brand, Clare’s penchant for original design and artistic viewpoints brighten her tasteful home. In her space, Clare has opted for a neutral colour palette and pared-down furnishings to enhance the home’s vantage point. The walk-in wardrobe inhabits nearly half of the space, ‘not because it’s big, but because the house is so small. I have my priorities straight,’ she laughs of her prize feature. The passionately curated art collection, including a deborah Bell in the living area’s prime space, also speaks to her love of design and refined aesthetic.

Clare breathed new life into the rooms using key designer pieces, including two smokey black Moooi leather chairs and lighting from Créma design. ‘Most of the furniture is bespoke, however, to fit the small space. There is an easy, open flow, keeping things fairly relaxed and in tune with the surroundings.’ Inspired by Marie Kondo’s The Life-changing Magic of Tidying Up, Clare has opted to give her space – and life – a strategic spring clean. ‘I’m a huge believer in “less is more”, be it in clothing, jewellery, art, books or interiors.’ pakapaka.com
