What’s happening in the world of design

Local designers have collaborated to create a bespoke, limitededition collection of wares for Cape Town’s new pedestal of progressive design, guild. Curated by Tammy Tinker, designers were asked to create a one-of-a-kind pattern, to be reinterpreted onto collectable pieces, such as ceramic bowls, mugs and handbags. Prominent names such as fashion photographer andile Buka and fashion designer Lukhanyo Mdingi are among the creatives involved. 021 461 2856
