MAHINDRA South Africa is now responsible for the sales, service and marketing of Ssangyong vehicles in Southern Africa. The company has launched its first two models from Ssangyong Motor – the Korando SUV and the Actyon Sports recreational vehicle.

Both are significantly improved and upgraded versions of the vehicles that have been on sale locally. More importantly, they are now far more competitively priced and backed by a new network of independent dealerships, all linked to established Mahindra outlets.

CEO of Mahindra SA, Ashok Thakur said Ssangyong vehicles were known the world over for their style, durability and premium features. “I’m sure that customers in South Africa will find the Korando and Actyon Sports great value for money propositions,” he said. “Both models have a fresh new look and are equipped with fuel efficient, powerful engines, making it the ideal vehicle for outdoor leisure activities as well as city travel.”

Customers now have a choice of diesel or petrol engines for both the Korando and the Actyon Sports. Previously, these two Ssangyong models were offered locally only with diesel engines.

The prices of the five-model Koando range from R249 995 to R324 995, while the prices of the three-model Actyon Sports line-up range from R269 995 to R319 995.
