RAM’S music to revive youth

- By POLISWA PLAATJIE

THE Revival Africa Movement (RAM) ends youth month at their pre-launch worship event at the Miriam Makeba Audio and Visual Centre in East London tomorrow by encouraging young people to return to God.

The movement is about restoration, revival, love and worship.

Organiser Keith Ngesi said the event would have gospel artists and secular musicians glorifying God with their songs.

“This movement welcomes everyone. It is set out to take the nation by storm. RAM is a full house or one-stop entity that seeks to develop a young person holistically,” he said.

RAM visionary Noel Ngesi appealed to established artists and youth formations to join them and carry the vision forward.

He said the call had already been answered by many renowned gospel artists.

“The call has been heeded by Israel Mosehla from Johannesburg, a well known worshipper. He will be joined by artists such as Veliswa Skeyi, Zama and the Voice Ministries, La Peafa, Worship Alive, Vovee and many other artists,” he said.

Zama and the Voice Ministries recently celebrated 10 years in the industry. To celebrate they recorded a live DVD at the Guild Theatre.

“We also have dynamic 15year-old Sazi Tshangana who will be a guest speaker. He is a versatile speaker who is fluent in any topic from economics, politics to religion,” he said.

Keith said the movement would assist young people interested in music for a living.

“We have negotiated a deal with the Miriam Makebe Audio Visual Centre to use their studios to record,” he said.

“RAM’s core business is worshipping God in everything we do and by the way we live,” Keith said.

The event starts at 4pm tomorrow at the Miriam Makeba Audio and Visual Centre. Entry is free and everyone is welcome. —
