Well done, but change must follow

-

I WOULD like to congratulate the ANC’s newly elected provincial executive committee of Eastern Cape collectively, as led by Cde Lubabalo Oscar Mabuyane.

Whilst congratulating these new leaders of our province, I would like to further call on them to reflect on their leader, Mabuyane, as a unifying figure, selfless and humble.

The new PEC must not grow big heads. They must be totally different from the previous PEC, some of who were distanced from the people.

The ANC in this province needs to be humble and connected to the people’s leaders who will unite all ANC members. No one must be above the ANC and its people.

Events of ill-discipline observed during the provincial elective conference must never happen again.

The new leaders have a responsibility to unite this glorious movement and collectively craft a way forward to ensure that Eastern Cape occupies its leadership status in national politics.

Those in government tasked with service delivery must be committed and reflect the newly elected provincial executive committee.

We on the ground must also assist this new leadership in cleaning up rotten potatoes in government, especially useless heads of departments, CEOs of SOEs, municipal managers and chief directors of departments. — Viwe Sidali, via e-mail Wire-IT as service provider.

According to the e-mail, I am required to use “E[cellphone number]” as reference. This is a problem as Prepaid24 does not have my cellphone number.

I sought a solution to this conundrum at www.buffalocitymetro.gov.za , where a banner on the Home page “helpfully” and incorrectly informs me that I can purchase electricity online through Wire-IT.

Please explain: Why BCMM did not communicate the change of provider to the public? How to register with Prepaid24? Why it is not possible to simply buy directly from BCMM? — Dave Rankin, via e-mail

The All Blacks are proficient with the laws – they take their opponents and referees to the limit in all departments.

Their defence is impregnable as they put their bodies on the line. Two to three players tackling on their line, like men possessed.

Overcome theses tough, tight obstacles and the Boks will avoid another humiliation. — Mike Godfrey, via e-mail
