EL BMF leader resigns as explicit images circulate

- By MBALI TANANA

A regional leader of the Black Management Forum resigned with immediate effect yesterday after a series of pornographic images of him with two women went viral on social media at the weekend.

Masedi Mafilika, 38, an engineer at Eskom, served as a deputy chairman of BMF’s East London branch.

In the explicit images, the professional could be seen having what appears to be a threesome with two women.

One of the women has been identified as the wife of a popular East London businessman.

The man at the centre of the scandal first made headlines in the Daily Dispatch in August 2015 when his doctor girlfriend at the time drove over him twice following a tiff at his Beacon Bay complex. At the time the Dispatch reported he was left with a broken heart, leg and arm.

In a statement published yesterday, BMF chairman Ndzwana Makaula confirmed the immediate resignation of Mafilika.

“The Black Management Forum East London branch has regrettably learnt about social media allegations around the deputy chairperson of our East London branch. Mr Masedi Mafilika has since resigned from the organisation with immediate effect to spare the organisation any further harm. The BMF welcomes his resignation. Irrespective of the veracity of such allegations, we believe that this matter is private and has nothing to do with the BMF.

“The mention of BMF, even for context, is unfair and unwarranted. We suggest that all queries be directed to the relevant parties. We would hope that the parties involved are given fair opportunity to deal with such allegations,” he said.
