Feedback meetings essential says mayor

MATATIELE mayor Momelezi Mbedla has expressed concern over a rise in the number of service delivery protests in the area and has instructed his councillors to hold “report back” and “feedback” meetings with communities on a constant basis.

“There is always a threat of a looming protest in our municipal wards.

“When people do not have information they become frustrated.

“We have established a strong, accountable, transparent and resilient system of local governance. Our communities are involved in all developmental initiatives in their localities. In spite of such remarkable progress, our councillors [must] report back,” he said.
