SIKONATHI Mantshantsha really gets down to real zero tolerance when he suggests it is time the government restore the death penalty for all serious crimes! (SD, May 26).

Rapists need not be hanged – just have them castrated and our over-full prisons will be relieved to a large extent.

In fact, there should be a few standing empty, in which case street children and orphans can be accommodated, cared for and educated.
