St Christopher’s Private School opens second campus
St Christopher’s Private School, established in 1986, is a co-ed school catering for pupils from Grade R to 12.
They are proud to announce the opening of a second campus located at Palm Springs Road, Kidd’s Beach Green Estate, Kidd’s Beach. Currently from Grades R to 9, however expanding to Grade 10 in 2019 in order to roll out a full High School.
The school’s mission is to provide optimum quality teaching to all pupils, providing them with a solid foundation for the development of their talents and abilities.
Their philosophy is to ensure that all stakeholders in education see St Christopher’s Private school as a caring, busy and orderly community where each individual can achieve their full educational potential.
The second campus in Kidd’s Beach consists of modern classrooms, an after-care centre and an interactive media room with full wi-fi capabilities.
As part of its eco-friendly policy, the school generates its own electricity and is completely off the grid with up to five days of power supply in reserve.
As part of its extended curriculum, St Christopher’s Private School also offers debating, interact, first aid and environmental awareness over and above the CAPS related curriculum.
On the sports field, they offer soccer, rugby, cricket, netball and softball.
As the school grows in numbers additional sporting codes will be developed.
Staff are highly qualified, enthusiastic and passionate about the subjects they teach.
The school is well managed by the principal Craig Daniel who has over 25 years of experience in the educational field with two major awards namely excellence in teaching and coaching.
The pupils of St Christopher’s Private School have also displayed exceptional talent and skills in academics, sports and cultural activities.
Six pupils received half bursaries for academic excellence, one pupil received a provincial award in debating and public speaking and their star soccer player was appointed as captain of the BCM Under 13 soccer team.
The team went on to play in the Bill Stewart National tournament and achieved a historic second place.
The school’s motto “Carpe Diem” translates to seize the day and that is what they encourage throughout the pupils’ learning experience.
St Christopher’s Private School will continue to inspire its pupils to aspire beyond limits.
