Tornado bracing for clash of titans against Bucks at North End

- MFUNDO PILISO mfundop@dispatch.co.za

Tornado left winger Akhona Magqabeni expects a clash of the titans when they host Mthatha Bucks in an ABC Motsepe League encounter at the North End Stadium today.

Last week, Tornado were put to the test and they failed at the hands of PE Stars, who won 2-1 at home in a league clash at Sisa Dukashe Stadium.

But the Mdantsane-born Magqabeni strongly believes they will be able to repeat history and stop Mthatha Bucks in their tracks when they visit East London.

The sides have met twice this season.

Tornado won once (Nedbank Cup preliminary rounds) and drew one league game.

Magqabeni conceded PE Stars were the better team on the day, but he also highlighted the im- portance of winning every game moving forward.

“I think we can steal the three points up for grabs because the confidence is back,” Magqabeni said.

Other fixtures: Highbury vs Bush Bucks Academy (NMU South Campus, Summerstrand), Matta Milan vs Swartkops Valley United Brothers (Ngumbela Stadium, Butterworth), Yakha United vs Birmingham City (Mount Alyliff Stadium), Butterworth vs Bizana Pondo Chiefs, Future Tigers vs The Guys (Mqeshwa Sport Fields), PE Stars vs Peace Makers.
