Students taking long to graduate

The majority of university students are taking seven years to get a three-year degree. Higher education and training minister Naledi Pandor has queried whether students were ready for university studies immediately after matric. A recently released report showed that 70% of undergraduates obtained their degree after seven years of studying. The report said it was difficult to compare with most other countries as not all countries reported throughput rates.
