Support charity wine auction

For the past 28 years, the Rotary Club of Gately in East London has held a charity event: the annual wine auction.

Over the years, it has managed to raise more than R8m, which is donated to local charities. In 2018, the auction fetched R500,000, which organisers are hoping to better on Friday.

A total of 59 wines, mostly from the Cape winelands, will go under the hammer.

The event is on Friday at 6pm at The Venue at Hemingways.
