Miyanda’s Origin story
Miyanda Maseti, 14, is a BMX rider. Her earliest memory of riding a bicycle is when she was seven years old. With the help of her brother, Maseti built a ramp, but fell when she tried to jump it. She has participated in four BMX world championships and was crowned national champion of the 11-18 age group in 2018. On the provincial bench, Maseti competes against the boys and started doing so when she was 11 years old. She is training to ride at the Junior Elite Women championship in 2022.
