LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS MUST ACT IN THE INTERESTS OF SOUTH AFRICA’S CITIZENS

- Tore Rognmo Becee Macpherson Roslyn Cassidy

Who tracked top detective Kinnear’s phone up to the minute he was gunned down? (21/09/ 2020)

Let’s face it even if it hurts: This resourceful country is out of control, at least if one uses international standards of governance. If you cannot rely on the institutions that are set to safeguard law abiding citizens, the country cannot sink deeper. I remember when JZ was installed as president I said to myself, if the president can steal what he wants, anybody can.

You don’t need to be a brain surgeon to understand this. There are hundreds of examples.

Why don’t we take the train into Cape

Town as we can in other enlightened countries? Because you can be killed here if you have the latest Samsung, or the train is 60 min late, or some clever guy has stolen 50 m of cable. If you travel by train in Spain, you get your ticket refunded if the train is one minute late, and there are hundreds of km of cable in a 50 cm channel covered by slates. Nobody touches it because people understand that it is treated as sabotage/ act of terrorism. Are the law enforcement authorities afraid of acting at the behest of citizens because that might look like apartheid behaviour?

The courage of Kinnear and officers like him cannot be overestimated. It is time for Cele to stop promising and start delivering – he owes it to Kinnear’s family. lekker here in terms of styling and excellent quality both in the food and attire sectors, but also homeware and services – I couldn’t imagine what fuddy-duddy David Jones could possibly offer. My only conclusion was that Woolworths and SA were being conned by the Aussies. And so it has proved to be. We were roundly whupped. Revenge for Breaker Morant? Believe me, they’re still smarting. In 2012 (yes, 2012!) they tried again to get the judgment overturned. Eish!
