Response to Military Vets? More like a gang of criminals
Not exactly upstanding members of society, are they? I would love to know the source of their funds. Perhaps a certain foundation? If crime intelligence is looking for something to pass the time, perhaps they could look into these guys.

The so-called vets could not hit themselves out of a wet paper bag! It is grand theft to give pensions and gratuities to so-called vets. The fact that the majority have serious criminal records says it all. This is an opportunistic attempt to extort money from the state. Graeme Stratton
I am also a military veteran, even if it was just for two-odd years. Where do I apply for my once-off payment? Sam Joubs
[The military vets] fit ANC membership criteria perfectly and will soon enjoy significant government positions.

The fact that a good number of these “vets” have a criminal record should make them welcome in the broad church of the ANC.
Recent events seem to point once more to a splintering of that church, playing out in public in full sight of mostly disgusted viewers. It seems that we are all destined to see the ANC’s internecine battles for some time to come. Sandra Goldberg
Military veterans in the US, on the whole, have outstanding benefits and treatment. I am talking about proper, registered, bona fide veterans. (Make no mistake, there are huge cons going on in the US: veterans from recent wars know exactly how to game the system.) That said, I do find it fascinating how the US media – in this case The New York Times – finds the splinter in the eyes of others, without acknowledging or addressing the huge log in their own.

IT IS GRAND THEFT TO GIVE PAY-OUTS TO SO-CALLED VETS
BONA FIDE VETS SHOULD BE ENTITLED TO BENEFITS
