She’s missing without a trace

- MPUME MADLALA

THE family of a Durban woman who went missing last month is appealing to anyone with information on her whereabouts to help them.

Bianca Couch, 25, was last seen on December 20, leaving her place of employment, Absa Bank in Hillcrest.

All Couch’s clothes and her suitcase were in her apartment, her family said.

Her sister, Charity Mkhize, said she had spoken to her sister briefly on the day she went missing.

“I called her and she said she was busy and would call me back but never did,” she said.

Mkhize said she had tried to call her later that day but Bianca’s phone was off. She had tried again the following day but was unsuccessful.

“That is when we got worried and had gone to look for her at the commune where she lived in Glenmore,” she said.

Mkhize said they had got the landlord to open it for them and found that all her things were still there, including the suitcase she used when she was travelling.

“She is not the kind of person to just go without telling anyone. Her phone is never off. And she has stopped using social networks,” she said.

Mkhize said since her disappearance neither Crouch’s phone nor her bank account had been active and her family were deeply worried.

Anyone with information on Couch’s whereabouts should call Warrant Officer Dlamini at 031 765 9100 or 072 253 0443 or Milton Couch at 084 404 0006.
