Dexter is only in it for the money

-

NO MEMBER of parliament of Cope rejoins ANC without the promise of a lucrative reward.

Phillip Dexter has never been a principled person. During the term of Thabo Mbeki, he and SACP colleagues seized every opportunity to criticise ANC policies. When he disagreed with Blade Nzimande and Zwelinzima Vavi, he sided with Willie Madisha and criticised Jacob Zuma. He subsequently left Cope and became a close ally of Terror Lekota against Mbazima Shilowa. Now he is back in the ANC praising its policies and practices. He is exposing himself as a spineless communist and trade unionist.

He lambasted Anele Mda when she rejoined the ANC as an “unprincipled little political sparrow” but he has followed Mda. All the things he was saying against the ANC, including Zuma Economic Empowerment, were not genuine. He wrote good articles on how ANC has corrupted the state and society but today he praises the same party and its president just because he had a fall-out with Lekota. He lambasted Andile Nkuhlu and JJ Tabane for being ANC moles in Cope but on the eve of the ANC centenary he follows them into ANC. I will not be surprised if Sam Shilowa rejoins ANC.

Because the ANC can dish out patronage, people like Dexter will join it for a living.

Soon he will praise Julius Malema as an outstanding people’s leader. Will we see him defending Schabir Shaik? Who will he support at Mangaung, Jacob Zuma or Kgalema Motlanthe? VIJAY NKUNA
