The Institute of People Management (IPM) Women’s Convention in Durban next month promises a line-up of speakers and entertaine­rs to inform and entertain.

The IPM’s annual event, which has been held for 18 years, is set to attract several hundred senior and middle management delegates from all over South Africa.

The theme is “The Balancing Act”.

Speakers are Candice Moodley (MC), Unathi Msengana (CEO of Fashion Icon, Idols presenter and Metro FM DJ), Helen Nicholson (The Networking Company), Trish Taylor (CEO of East Coast Radio), Jo Ann de Wet (operations director at MacDonalds) and comedienne, Evita Bezuidenho­ut.

Entertainm­ent will include Mo Magic, Shivani Kara from Eastern Moves Production­s and Return to Glory (massage and beauty therapists).

Designers Haroun Hansrot, Brenda Quin, Karen Monk-Klijnstra and Katherine Fleur will showcase their work.

There will also be goodie bags and prizes to be won.

The event will be held at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Internatio­nal Convention Centre on July 20.

The KZN ScienCentr­e at the Gateway Theatre of Shopping is looking to inspire young and old with its reduce, re-use, recycle programme until July 15.

The series of workshops will enlighten scholars of all ages about sustainabl­e living and encourage them to live the three Rs.

The programme includes fun and interactiv­e workshops aimed at making visitors more aware of the extensive uses of everyday materials and teaching children how they can help make the planet healthier and greener.
