Drakies gets new music head

THE Drakensberg Boys’ Choir School posted on Facebook today that Bernard Krüger, head of music at Kearsney College, will replace Dr Johann van der Sandt as its director of music from the beginning of next year.

Van der Sandt and his wife, the pianist, Bea de Wit, who also teaches at the choir school, are emigrating to Italy.

Kearsney’s choir has esablished an international reputation under Krüger’s baton with many Drakies completing their matric at the school because of its strong choir.
