Lotus FM has messed up big time

-

I THINK Lotus FM needs to relook its current situation because change may be good, however it can also have an adverse impact.

The fact that Lotus got rid of some of its most talented and experienced DJs is something to be frowned upon.

Radio personalities Vikash Mathura and Zakia Ahmed are celebrities in their own right, they connected with the listeners, and they oozed with passion for what they did.

I think Lotus messed up big time by letting Vikash and Zakia go.

Management at Lotus is trying to get the young listeners to tune in; this new generation in our communities have so much going on for them in the world of social media and technology, and they do not have the time to listen to a station that is trying so hard to sound good.

Clearly DJs are untrained at Lotus; when you listen to FiveFM, East Coast, Good Hope FM and many others, you find there is so much class and the DJs have this effervescent effect on their listeners. Lotus does not have that at all.

Why not get Alan Khan to run workshops with Lotus DJs, teach them the nuances of the game?

The Saturday morning programme between 10am and 1pm is one such example of how low Lotus has gone.

We have many personalities in the community who will have a positive effect on the listeners, Shashi Naidoo, Krijay Govender, Leanda Reddy, Masood Boomgard, Devi Sankree Govender just to name a few, get them on board the Lotus sinking ship. Ex Lotus listener S THIRUPATI
